I am excited to be a part of the Center For Integrated Therapies team as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern to offer my professional help to diverse populations and age groups.
My previous experience in the Mental Health field includes counseling individuals with alcohol and substance abuse issues, counseling children and families suffering from the trauma of sexual abuse, and helping women with family conflicts resolution.
I believe that the Integrative Multi-theoretical Approach is very effective because the idea of gaining the wisdom and knowledge of several generations of psychotherapists is very helpful. This approach integrates multiple theoretical orientations into one approach while seeming to be able to bring maximum benefit to the clients I believe in encouraging uniqueness, self-efficacy, and personal growth in my clients.
My areas of interest include interpersonal relationship issues, separation and divorce, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, and grief. Also, I hope to be helpful and effective for individuals who are going through cross-cultural transitions (immigrants or foreigners).
