Traumatic Brain Injury
How we can help
Like every part of our body our brain wants to heal. Unfortunately after a traumatic injury, the brain will sometimes get stuck functioning in a non-optimal way. This can result in many physical and mental symptoms such as cognitive decline, emotional dysregulation and pain.
What if we could "put the brain in front of a mirror"? Neurofeedback allows us to do just that, present the brain with the data on how it is functioning. We see time and time again that when a damaged brain is presented with the feedback on how it is functioning, it naturally begins to regulate itself.
Cognitive decline
While neurofeedback may not halt the cognitive decline associated with TBI, it offers a valuable tool for managing symptoms and enhancing cognitive function. Many of our clients experience noticeable improvements that persist with ongoing treatment. Though neurofeedback does not address the root cause of neurodegeneration, it has shown promise in delaying its progression. We have had tremendous success in making meaningful improvements in the lives of those facing cognitive challenges, offering hope and a better quality of life.
